Took a day trip to Woodland Park Zoo with my son’s elementary school class. Had a great time taking photos of the animals with all the kids. Here’s a link to the Facebook gallery.
Yesterday I gave a slide show presentation about Africa to a group of elementary school kids. Each child is doing an annual report on a specific animal so the teachers asked if I could show images of Africa. I put together a 15 minute video using iMovie on my Mac and set it to all kinds of up beat African music. The children oohed and aahed during the entire movie. After the show, they couldn’t stop asking questions about animals, or photos, or weather, or the Masai, or anything else.
I wish all my audiences were this enthusiastic!
Here’s a pic of the kids (taken in dark room with Nikon D90 at ISO 2000).
I’m headed out the door to give an Africa presentation and slide show to a group of elementary school children. There’ll be about one hundred kids. I’m dressing up in my safari outfit, bringing my big Nikon lenses and playing loud African music. Should be great fun!
