Nikon has released two new lenses and a new teleconverter at the CP+ show. The 800mm f/5.6 will retail for the low, low price of $17,899, but will be an excellent lens for photographing humming birds at 300 yards. The new TC800-1.25E is designed to work specifically with the 800mm f/5.6 to provide 25% more reach. When the 1.25x TC is mounted, the 800mm becomes a 1000mm f/7.1 lens.
The 18-35mm lens looks to be a wide range FX zoom that is lighter weight than the 14-24mm f/2.8 or 16-35mm f/4. This should be a sharp lens that travels well.
