Our photography group took a break from photographing wildlife models in Mariposa and headed over for some amazing photography in Yosemite National Park. The light was stunning and we came away with some incredible landscape images. Enjoy.

Spent the morning taking some amazing photographs at our Day on the Ranch photography workshop. We are south of Mariposa, CA and the weather couldn’t be nicer. We have a bunch of ranch hands running horses and cattle while we photograph them on their turf. It is a lot of fun. Later, we’ll have a big BBQ around a fire pit. I’m headed home stuffed like a pig.

Our Nikonians Academy group is having a total blast here at the Triple D Game Farm in Kalispell, MT. The weather cleared a bit and we are getting some great shots of wolves, mountain lions, grizzly bears, bobcats and lots of other animals. Tomorrow, we are planning to photograph some animals at a reflection pond at sunrise. Can’t wait.

Day 1 @ Triple D Game Farm

We’ve just finished up day one of photography at the Triple D Game Farm and we’ve really been having a blast. We photographed a Snow Leopard, Canadian Lynx, Wolf and Siberian Tiger. All the animals were healthy and absolutely beautiful.

The weather hasn’t been very cooperative however as it has been raining most of the time. As I always say, though, “bad weather makes great photos.” So, we’ve been shooting through the rain and capturing some really fantastic images. Since the days have been dark and overcast, our cameras have been set at ISO 800 – ISO 1200 in order to get shutter speeds in the 1/80s to 1/250s range. We’ve also been hard at work learning how best to use the auto focus systems on our Nikon Cameras.
