Photographing Old and New

A great way to tell stories with your photography is by studying contrasts. Contrast is typically defined as the difference between highlights and shadows. Another way to look at contrasts is by comparing old versus new.

At last week’s parade in my home town, there were a wide array of old and new vehicles. It was fun to see the pride of ownership as well as the contrasts in styles. I took a number of photographs of old vehicles and new vehicles with the thought of contrasting them together as part of a photo story. Here are a few pics.
