A few weeks ago I took my camera on a trip to the LeMay Car Museum in Tacoma, Washington to photograph their beautiful collection of automobiles. During my photo excursion, I quickly became enamored with the diversity and complexity of hood ornaments. Who knew that so many hours of effort went into creating these little masterpieces of artwork? Every one holds great detail and represents the gestalt of the automobile in a way that is instantly recognizable to car buffs around the world.
Here’s a sample of images from my day at the car museum.
