REFUND/RETURN POLICY

Visual Adventures does not offer return or refund of any product sold through our web store. All sales are final. If you have a problem with your order, please contact us.

TERMS OF PRODUCT DELIVERY

Products are shipped each Monday and Friday. Deliveries are made via the United States Postal Service. Expect 5-7 days delivery time once goods have been shipped. Digital goods are available for download immediately.

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you register on our site, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey or fill out a form.

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number or credit card information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

– To process transactions. Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested.

– To administer a contest, promotion, survey or other site feature

– To send periodic emails. The email address you provide for order processing, and to send you periodic information such as a news letter or information related to our shop. Note: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.

We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.

After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

Do we use cookies?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser (if you allow) that enables the site or service provider to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

We use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart, understand and save your preferences for future visits, and keep track of advertisements.

As of December 1, 2009 in the United States the Federal Trade Commission requires that bloggers and other web authors clearly disclose “their connection, if any, with the advertisers; and also reveal the receipt of free products and or payments from the advertisers”.

I write about products I use, products I like, and products that companies want me to evaluate. When a company contacts me to review their product, They must agree to let me write my honest opinions. If they don’t want me to write my opinions publicly, then I ask them not to send the evaluation unit. In cases where a company sends me an evaluation unit, sometimes I will return their products and other times I will keep them. This is always a case-by-case scenario and often depends on the overall value of the product. Many of the products for which I write reviews I have purchased myself.

Nikon, Canon, or other camera manufacturers do not give me gear. I purchase my professional camera equipment from leading camera stores just like everyone else.

If you don’t see specific products on my site, it is either because I have not tried it or I don’t like it. I don’t recommend products I don’t like (that would be bad for my reputation). If I review a product I don’t like, then I will clearly say so in my comments.

I use affiliate links for trusted companies such as Amazon, B&H Photo Video, Adorama, Peak Design, Think Tank Photo and others. In these cases, I earn a small commission on purchases completed through these links.

I make my living teaching, writing, consulting, and selling my products (videos, books, prints). My own products are advertised and sold on this site. I also actively promote them in my writings.

Quite often, I serve as an alpha or beta tester for software companies. In these situations, I am not paid directly for my services, but it is common for the company to provide a software key for the final commercial version.

Advertising is accepted on the website from trusted companies that I would honestly recommend to readers.
